Computational Cognitive Systems

We conduct research on adaptive, autonomous and socio-culturally grounded cognitive systems that are able to learn and use language. We apply and develop computational methods, models and frameworks for adaptive machine translation and socio-cognitive multiagent systems.

Other activities

• In September 2008, we organized AKRR'08 conference on Adaptive Knowledge Representation and Reasoning.
• In November 2006, we were involved in organizing SCAI 2006, Scandinavian Conference on Artificial Intelligence
• Within the KULTA project, Timo Honkela visited California in November 2006, including visits to Stanford University, Google, Nokia RC Palo Alto, UC Berkeley, and UC Santa Barbara
• In June 2005, we organized AKRR'05 conference on Adaptive Knowledge Representation and Reasoning.
